wedding PHOTOGRAPHER IN MINNESOTA

They don't call me your Number one fan for nOthing...

Okay, so, maybe they don't call me that yet, but they will once we make it official and I start to learn the ins and outs of your love story. I mean, how could I NOT become your biggest fan, seeing it written all over your faces just how truly, madly, and deeply in love with each other the two of you are?!

before we get to the memoir, though, let's be clear:

Yours is a Love Story that pEople Write hOme about

No, really! It's undeniable.

Strangers see you two in the coffee shop, leaning across the table so far that your butts are off the seat and your noses are almost touching, and they know in an instant that you're end game material. Innocent bystanders witness you practically skipping hand in hand down the street after meeting up for post-work burgers and beers at the dive bar you may as well be part owners of by now and think, "How do I get me some of that?!"

and i can see it from a mile away, too, because i know that kind of Dreamy love myself.

i know that kind of Dreamy love myself.

I'm able to notice the little details of your love story because my own romance with my husband, Col, is so jam packed with the same how-is-this-person-even-REAL energy that you experience each and every day, when you lay eyes on the love of your life.

I have such an observant and artistic eye for the mundane-moments-made-magical that YOU know from loving YOUR human because that's my day to day experience, too, being married to Col.

And it's THAT common ground that you and I have-- so aware of how good we have it in our hopelessly in love-ness-- that makes me the wedding photographer for your romance.

my memoir would probably be called "Perfectly Imperfect: one woman's mission to make sure the entire world knows how magical the life Lived in the in-Betweens really is."

Back to that autobiography of mine:

I'm passionate about a lot of things-- thrifting, being crunchy, Jesus, and traveling to quaint European towns with Col, just to name a few-- but there's nothing that gets me going quite like the messy moments that make up a life. And not just any life, but a life together

I live for that version of life, because that's where the good stuff is.

The way you stand at the screen door in your wool socks at six AM, cup of cozy warm coffee in hand as you watch your person mow the lawn in the early morning light, and think, "Could I be any luckier?" The hint of a smile that comes to your face every time your person gets that look of concentration when they're doing something as simple as setting the table for supper. How you manage to get tangled up in each other, a mix of limbs and emotions, whenever you're anywhere near each other, whether snuggled up on the couch or baking cookies in the kitchen.

Not "Your hair looked great when it was professionally done for your wedding day" or "Wow, you two are such a picturesque couple in your tuxedo and wedding gown."

(Even though both of those things will definitely be true come wedding day!)

It's the moments that other people who aren't in it might easily overlook because they don't know what it's like to be in your unique love. They don't know how defining moments of your togetherness are, how you don't know who you'd even be without those 'pinch me!' moments.

It's this very effect of people hopelessly in love that made me want to turn my side hobby of taking engagement photos in exchange for a bucket of candy (true story!) into a full-fledged, dream-lived-out as a couples and wedding photographer in Minnesota.

That, and my sweet friend, Bailey.

because the photos that make your heart skip a beat in your chest are the ones that say,

"I'll rememBer You Like This."

The inspiration behind the brand

The Sunset chAser That staRted it All

The inspiration behind my business and brand came from my best friend, Bailey Mae. Bailey lost her hard fought battle with cancer in 2019-- but not before leaving behind a legacy of warmth and safety unlike any I've ever known before.

A person couldn't help but be the very best version of themselves when they were with Bailey. She was truly the original sunset chaser, forever leaning into the light and living her life in the warmest of yellows, right until the very end. She chased her dreams and encouraged mine, down to her last breath, and I can say with total confidence that she is the reason I do what I do.

Not only do I want to make her proud, but I want others to know that very warmth and sunshine that Bailey was, through my work as a wedding photographer in Minnesota. Every day when I open my front door and head out into the world to photograph love stories like yours, I hope to honor Bailey's memory, to make you feel the same way Bailey made me feel every day of my life: loved and valued, down to the last cell in your body.

sweet words from past couples

Good bar food brings me more joy than it probably should, but the last time I cared about "shoulds" was... approximately never.

My go-to coffee shop order is best described as fall in a cup: hot maple cinnamon latte with whole milk, no questions asked.

I either have the Hallmark Channel or Friends on in the background while I’m replying to emails or sending contracts. It’s called 'balance.'

I’m pretty darn *crunchy*, and while it’s by no means a dealbreaker, I certainly won’t mind if you’re the type of person that can bond over that plant in a ditch that fights bronchitis or homemade beef tallow as my tried and true skincare of choice.

When I’m not shooting a wedding, editing a gallery, or telling anybody who will listen how much I love my husband, I’m likely thrifting or being active. Volleyball, basketball, pickleball, and roller blading are my go-to choices of movement.
